Mailsort® 70

This product will no longer be available after 12 May 2012. If you currently use Mailsort® 70, you will need to switch to Business Mail or Business Mail 1st Class. Get help with making the switch or find out more about our improved product portfolio.

With Mailsort® 70, customers make savings by pre-sorting and preparing their mail prior to collection by Royal Mail. With fewer selections than other Mailsort® variants and the use of trays to convey the mail, it is a cleaner, easier way of posting your letters. Mailsort® 70 also gives you flexibility of delivery speed depending upon the urgency of your mailing. When you use Mailsort® 70, you will be able to download the Mailsort® User Guide and have access to a dedicated UK helpline and sorting database.

You sort your mail

Mailsort® is based upon you sorting and presenting your mailings into specific postcode areas with correct addresses, so that after we collect it we can quickly process it and get it to its destination. Because you use the Mailsort® Database to sort the mail as it is being produced, this makes it more efficient to process and so we can offer you discounts for the time you save us.

What you can send

To use Mailsort®70, you will need to send a minimum of 20,000 items per mailing (which can be spread over a number of days as specified in the Mailsort® User Guide). A mailing is defined as a single set of selections that is accompanied by a single line listing and computer planning report (CPR).
