Recorded Signed For™

Get extra reassurance that your important item has been delivered.

Confirm Delivery Online

You can confirm delivery of your item online and obtain a copy of the signature of the person who signed for the item. Please note that is not a fully tracked service. Recorded Signed For™ provides you with confirmation of delivery only.
To guarantee delivery of your urgent or valuable item and track it online choose Special Delivery™ Next Day.

Fast delivery

We aim to deliver your First Class Recorded item the next working day, or within three days if you use Second Class. For guaranteed next day delivery or for valuable items (e.g. cash, jewellery, tickets & vouchers), please use Special Delivery™ 9.00am or Special Delivery™ Next Day

Excellent value

You just pay for Recorded Signed For™ plus the cost of First or Second Class postage. See prices

Compensation

Your Recorded Signed For™ service will be covered up to the value of the Recorded Signed For™ fee.

Cash and jewellery are not covered under this service. For more valuable items (e.g. cash, jewellery, tickets and vouchers) please use Special Delivery™Next Day or Special Delivery™ 9.00am.

Easy to use

Just ask for Recorded Signed For™ at the Post Office® when you buy your First or Second Class postage. Account customers can order labels in advance and we will collect from your office along with the rest of your mail.

Dimensions - size and weight limits

You can use Recorded Signed For™ to send First Class and Second Class items, so standard size and weight limits apply. See table below:

Packets*
Items and gifts including books, mechanical parts, product samples and posters or print in cylindrical tubes will be classed as packets. Dimensions are:

Length: over 353mm
Width: over 250mm
Thickness: over 25mm

Maximum size for packets
The maximum dimensions for rectangular items are 610mm x 460mm x 460mm. Items over these dimensions should be sent using our Standard Parcels service.

The Maximum length for rolled or cylindrical items is 900mm, and the length plus twice the item diameter must be no more than 1040mm

Please make sure you wrap and pack items securely, addressing them clearly. Read our advice on packing and posting
